Multilingual Screening for Depression and PTSD

This app was created as part of the PCP ACT! project in partnership with University of California, Irvine and Harvard university. The goal of the project was to teach, encourage, and support primary care providers to treat depression and post-traumatic stress disorder without referring to specialists.

Multilingual Screening for Depression and PTSD

Patients could fill out multi-media survey on a tablet while in the clinic waiting room. The app includes questions from the Hopkins Symptom Checklist (HSCL) to screen for depression and the Harvard Trauma Questionnaire (HTQ) to screen for post-traumatic stress disorder.


Multilingual Screening for Depression and PTSD

The questions can be administered in English or Khmer. Upon completion, results are made available to the health care provider. This app was used successfully for two years during field research.
